Lovely bit of writing; intended or otherwise, this makes me think of a lot of Buddhist literature I have read. Regardless, this is how we all need to spend more of our time, less projection and fantasy more of how things actually are. Great, thanks for this!

Thank you, Simon. I would be quite influenced by Eastern strands of philosophy with some of these themes. As you say, "less projection and fantasy"...a sure road to anxiety or low mood, at least for me. Working toward enjoying things as they are seems like a worthy aim!
